第一課時 Period One
一、Teaching contents
This is an important lesson in the book. From this lesson, it starts asking the Ss to grasp contents of each Sample. To attain “four skills” request of listening, speaking, reading and writing. To tell the Ss to remember the new words. To start asking the Ss to learn the English sentences well. Therefore this lesson is in the important position of the teaching material.
二、Teaching aims
1、To study the new words “apples, oranges, bananas, peaches, grapes, watermelons, pears，these,those”, etc. by learning this lesson.
2、To make the Ss know how to use the sentence “What are these?""What are those?” and “They are …”.
三、Difficult points
1.Key points:
(1).To help the Ss to communicate with each other.
(2).To enable the Ss to study in groups and co-operate skillfully.
(3).To develop the Ss’ interest in English.
2.Difficult points:
(1) How to use the dialogues and act them out.
(2) How to write the right words and whole sentences.

Step 1. Warming-up：
1. Greetings.
2. Daily practice.
T: Point to the teacher, student, policeman, nurse, doctor, dentist, farmer, etc.
S: Teacher, student, policeman, nurse, doctor, dentist, farmer, etc.(do the action while speak out the word)

Step 2. Presentation：
T: Do you like doctors/nurses/ policemen/ farmers/…?
S: Yes, I do. ( No, I don’t.)
T: Do you like your English/ Chinese/ Maths teacher?
S: Yes, I do. (No, I don’t.)
T: Thank you. Miss Zhou likes apples. Do you like apples?
S: Yes, I do. (No, I don’t.)
T: What do you like?
S:I like pears/oranges/bananas/mangoes……
Step 3 New words, chant and structures learning
1.New words learning
T: Oh, I see. Now, I’ll play a game with you. Who’d like to come to the front and have a try？
S: I try.
T: XXX, come here. Please touch and guess what are these in the bag?
S1: Pears.
T: Let me see. Oh, you’re right. Now I’ll change the fruits, please wait a minute. OK, who’d like to try now?
S: I try.
T: XXX, you please.
S2: (touching the fruits)
T: What are these?
S2: Oranges.
T: I’m sorry you’re wrong, either. Let me show you: what are these in the bag? ( take out the fruits in the bag) Look, they’re grapes. Say after me, grapes.
S: Grapes.
T: Grape. ( point to one grape)
S: Grape.
T: Grapes. ( point to all grapes)
S: Grapes.
T: OK, boys and girls. What are these in the bag?
S: grapes.
T: Yes, you can also say: They’re grapes.
S: They’re grapes.
( Teach the other words in the same way.)
2.Say a chant
3.New structures learning
T: Very good! Excuse me, what are these in the bag?
S: They’re grapes.
T: Do you like grapes?
S: Yes, I do. ( No, I don’t.)
T: Thank you. Boys and girls, can you guess what are those behind the door?
S1: They’re apples.
（S Work in pairs.）

1.Play a game:What’s missing?
2.Ss practice.
3.Make a new dialogue.
Step 5.Homework:
1.Copy the new words.
2.Copy the new sentences.
3.Make a new dialogue with your parents.
七、Assignments
1、Listen to the tape and read the new words.
2、Copy the new words.
3、Try to make a dialogue about “buying fruit” after class.
八、Reflections
Most of students can master the new words and the important sentences. Only several can write the new words and the sentences in the class.
