　　"no problem," the tired traveler assured him. "ill take it."

　　the next morning, john came down to breakfast bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. when asked about how he slept, he replied, "never better."

　　the manager was impressed. "no problem with the other guy snoring, then?"

　　"nope. i shut him up in no time."

　　"howd you manage that?"

　　"he was already in bed, snoring away, when i came in the room," john said. "i went over, gave him a kion the cheek, said, goodnight, beautiful. with that he sat up all night watching me."

　　Good morning ladies and gentlemen:

　　The title of my speech today is “The Doors that Are Open to Us ”.

　　The other day my aunt paid me a visit. She was overjoyed. “I got the highest mark in the mid-term examination!” she said. Dont be surprised! My aunt is indeed a student; to be exact, a college student at the age of 45.

　　Last year, she put aside her private business and signed up for a one-year, full-time management course in a college. “This was the wisest decision I have ever made,” she said proudly like a teenage girl. To her, college is always a right place to pick up new ideas, and new ideas always make her feel young.

　　“Compared with the late 70s,” she says, “now college students have many doors.” My aunt cannot help but recall her first college experience in 1978 when college doors began to be re-opened after the Cultural Revolution. She was assigned to study engineering despite her desire to study Chinese literature, and a few years later, the government sent her to work in a TV factory.

　　I was shocked when she first told me how she (had) had no choice in her major and job. Look at us today! So many doors are open to us! I believe there have never been such abundant opportunities for self-development as we have today. And my aunt told me that we should reach our goals by grasping all these opportunities.

　　In the book,Helen said:"the knowledge to give love,give a person with bright,give a person with wisdom,it should be said that knowledge is happiness,because with the knowledge,is to touch a history of human activity since the pulse,or do not understand human life music!".Indeed,the power of knowledge is infinite,it is knowledge that Helen created these miracles!

　　Helen is unfortunate,but she is lucky,it is because of knowledge,she was so lucky.Lost sight and hearing in her 19 months later,and the world lost communication,lost contact,the life of the young do not know how to row retire loneliness,her eccentric,rude,rude,until her Sullivan teacher walked into her life,to teach her how to read,before she opened their hearts the eyes,and to communicate with people.A contact to knowledge,lonely Helen realized that only knowledge can pave a road leading to the light.When Helen aware of "water" that she knew the first word,will start on the knowledge,strong desire for the world,began to read,unable to hold oneself back reading,like a sponge to absorb knowledge from life itself.The thirst for knowledge,so that she was unimaginable monotonous and boring actually learned German,Latin,French and other languages,reading a lot of literature and philosophy,absorb those great and wise thought essence.Shes studying than climb mountains,fell again to climb up,each get a little progress,there is an encouraging,gradually see the wider world,until the bright clouds,the deep blue sky,the pinnacle of hope!These knowledge,like a rainbow,hearts Helen lit a lamp,illuminate her inner world,but also set up a Helen and a bridge in the world!

　　In the book,Helen with delicate strokes,the natural scenery description,make it difficult to believe that from a deaf blind pen; she go horseback riding,boating,swimming,the sled,even alone on moonlight nights,try to comprehend the beauty of the lotus pond; she is going to visit the museum,"listening to the concert," even to "enjoy" the Opera.I believe she is the heart to feel the world,heart to enjoy life.She is much smaller than those of us normal people live happy,live,live a meaningful life!Is knowledge gave her the courage to live,is the knowledge gave her to accept the challenges of life force,so that she could take the amazing perseverance in the face of difficulties,finally found life light in the darkness.The knowledge produced a belief that she:the realistic environment is terrible,but humans should hope,struggle.What is the meaning of life,what is the value of life?Human life is short,we have never thought or did not dare to imagine the future world,daily life lazily,lazily,difficult to blame everyone and everything but not oneself,complain that the God is not fair.On this day in and day out,year after year,time flies like water,the past days no longer,when we look back,whether it is worth recalling?Whether it is worth remembering?If,every one of us,believe me with the knowledge to light our hearts,lamp,the world will be a light!

　　Helen,with her hard but happy life,the interpretation of the meaning of life.Her life is the miracle of mankind,her autobiography,to my shame,I keep watch.

　　In this world,why only the deaf appreciate hearing found again?Only the blind will treasure to be delivered from oppression of happiness?Let us treasure every day in life,to enrich life,to enjoy life!Helen said:"I try to get knowledge for the purpose of human society contribute a little strength."

　　Knowledge of how the power,it can make a disabled person,become a beneficial to mankind,for the benefit of society.If,every one of us,can be like Helen.Keller,in the rest of ones life the thirst for knowledge,as the pursuit of life,every day hold this pursuit,with friendly,energetic,eager to life,our life will add a little joy,how happy ah!

　　Helens life,is life in darkness brought light to mankinds life,she proves that human conquer life courage in action,to leave the world a never forgotten songs of life!
