Hello everyone， I’m …You can call me… I am a sunny and hard-working girl from Class 79 ，Grade 1 of CE JING Middle School. It’s my great honor to take part in this oral petition. The title of my speech today is “Traveling and Reading”
As an ancient Chinese saying goes， “He who travels far knows much”. In my opinion， modern life is impossible without traveling. For me， there are two kinds of traveling. On the one hand， traveling on foot brings me many benefits. It can make me enjoy my holidays and many different life styles; it can broaden my vision， let me learn more about other countries or cultures. On the other hand， reading is another kind of traveling. It can bring me to the places where I can not go for the time being. Books are the best friends of human being. Books make my eyes and imagination enjoy the beautiful scenes through writhers’ wonderful description.
I have been to Beijing， Nanjing， Shandong， Hangzhou， Suzhou and other places. At the same time，I have been reading many books of different world-famous writers. The places I’ve been to and the places I only travel on books both impress a lot on me.

I have heard my parents say that Xiamen University is the most beautiful university in the country. I can see its true face in Mount Lu this time when I go to Xiamen for a trip.

The most striking two buildings, a tall building Songen, western architectural style, Chinese style, red roofs, this is the Thailand alumni donated a pair of husband and wife, named "vanoh" is to celebrate his alma mater cultivation of grace. Another is the South Hall, which faces the sea and looks very impressive. It is an important meeting and entertainment center of Xiamen University. These two buildings are the landmark buildings of Xiamen University.
Standing in Song en downstairs, in front of the beautiful Hibiscus lake, the lake carved on the stone "self-improvement" four characters, I quickly asked Dad to take pictures of me.
Then, we visited Valentine Valley, student dormitory, Chen Jiageng memorial hall, library, Baicheng beach...... Finally we in their dinner left the restaurant industry.

Dalian is a beautiful city。 Dalian is close to Beijing。 I spent 5o minutes on the plane。 Dalian is near the sea。 I smelled the salty taste in the air。 The roads are clean。 There are lots of trees and flowers near the roads。 There are many esplanades and Japanese buildings。 There are some fountains in one of the esplanades。 Some people flew kites and walked on the esplanades。 We went to see the beach and the sea。 The sea is blue。 There were many swimmers in the sea。 I lay on the beach to see the sky。Dalian is a very nice place to live。
Huhehot is in Inner Mongol。 There are lots of large grasslands。 The grasslands are endless。 The sky is bright blue。 There were a lot of horses and sheep。 They were running or eating grass。 I rode a horse on the graland。 I picked some colourful flowers。 We drank the tea with milk。 There is a small desert， it was very hot when I walked on it。 The sand could sing。
These trips helped me open my eyes。 I enjoyed my day。
