　　遲到的祝福 The Late Wishes

　　Last week, our school arranged a camping for us, so I went to camping for a two days. On the first day, I had a good time with my classmates, we played some games, we shared our funny life experience. When my friend talked about her mom, suddenly, I thought of my mother’s birthday, today was her birthday, I almost forgot about it, I wanted to send her my best wishes, but it was nearly 10 pm, it seemed too late. My friend suggested me to call my mom, she said though it was late, it was better than not to do. So I called my mom, I sent my wishes, she was so happy. I made the right decision.

　　上周，學校給我們安排了一次露營，因此我去露營兩天。在第一天，我和同學們過得很開心，我們玩了很多游戲，并且分享我們有趣的生活經歷。當我朋友談到她母親的時候，突然，我想到了媽媽的生日，今天是她的生日，我差點就忘記了，我想要給她送上我最好的祝福，但是時間已經接近晚上十點，已經很晚了。我的朋友建議我給媽媽打個電話，她說雖然遲，但是比不做好。因此我打電話給媽媽，她很開心。我做了正確的決定。

　　It has been admitted that girls are allowed to be late for a few minutes when they having a date with boys, which is a way to show respect. But if boys are late for the date, they are treated to be rude. This is the rules for being late. Girls always have the privilege of being late.

　　But at the meeting, both boys and girls are not allowed to be late, or they will be disliked by employers and lose the opportunity to get promoted. Obviously, lateness is not welcomed in the date between friends, because they are in the equal situation and no one have the privilege. Arriving on time is the basic rule to show respect.

　　While some girls keep the bad behavior of being late all the time, which makes them infamous.

　　大家都默認女生跟男生約會時可以遲到幾分鐘，這是對女生表示尊重的一種方式，而如果男生約會遲到了，則會被認為是不禮貌的。這是遲到的準則，女生總是有遲到的特權。但在會議上，男生和女生都是不允許遲到的，否則老板會不待見他們，失去晉升的機會。

　　顯然，朋友之間的約會也不適合遲到，因為他們是在平等的，沒有人有特權。準時是尊重的基本規則。然而有些女孩養成了總是遲到的不良習慣，這就會使得她們聲名狼藉。

　　I was fifteen minutes late for school this morning. I usually go to school by bike. But this morning there was something wrong with my bike. It didn't work on the way to school. I had to have it repaired. So I had to take a bus. It took me about twenty minutes to get to school. When I arrived at the school gate, it was 8:15. I was afraid when I entered the classroom, because Mr. Zhang is very strict with us. Luckily, he was not angry with me this time.

There we would wait, in trembling but not altogether unpleasant.

　　She was a tiny little woman to inspire so much veneration. She was always dressed in black, and her dark clothes melted into the shadows of the voor-kamer and made her look smaller than ever. But you felt. The moment she entered. That something vital and strong and somehow indestructible had come in with her, although she moved slowly, and her voice was sweet and soft.

　　一個像她那樣身材纖細的女人居然能贏得我們如此尊敬。她總是身穿黑色衣服，與客廳里的陰暗背景融成一體，將她的身材襯托得更加嬌小。但她一進門，我們就感到有一種說不清道不明、充滿活力和剛強的'氣氛，盡管她的步子慢悠、聲調甜柔。

　　She never embraced us. She would greet us and take out hot little hands in her own beautiful cool one, with blue veins standing out on the back of it, as though the white skin were almost too delicate to contain them.
