盼望著，盼望著，燈籠掛起來了，春聯貼起來了，春節的腳步近了，春節的味道濃了。
煙花，是小孩子們春節最愛玩的。我喜歡那種沒有響聲的“電光火花”，點燃后拿在手里，多像魔術師手里的魔法棒啊！“電光火花”噴出的火花就如同一個個頑皮的小精靈，在空中跳躍著，嬉戲著。不過，那些調皮地男孩子可不喜歡“電光火花”，他們喜歡聲音響亮、刺激的“甩炮”。他們不時地從兜里掏出一只，用力往地上一甩，“啪”地一聲大響。如果你正好從那兒經過，肯定會嚇得一個激靈，那些“小調皮們”則哈哈大笑。
當然，孩子們最喜歡的還是大禮花炮。當禮花炮點燃，各種各樣的.圖案，五彩繽紛的顏色就會呈現在空中。有的禮花炮沖上天空如同花蝴蝶般紛紛揚揚灑落下來；有的禮花炮沖上天變成了牡丹花、菊花，猶如花仙子在空中翩翩起舞；還有的禮花炮沖上天后變成大大的“笑臉”，仿佛在向大家說：“新年快樂！”春節的味道就在這煙花中綻放開來。
美食，是春節餐桌上必不可少的。火鍋是家家戶戶都愛吃的。肉丸、木耳、香菇、蔬菜在鍋中沸騰著，翻滾著，一家人圍坐在一起熱氣騰騰地吃著，真是回味無窮。小孩們則一般喜歡吃年糕和冰糖葫蘆。年糕軟軟的，甜甜的，拿起一塊放在嘴里慢慢地咀嚼，細細地品嘗，令孩子們百吃不厭。紅紅的山楂裹上一層糖，串在竹簽上就成了美味的冰糖葫蘆。咬上一口，“嘠吱，嘠吱”地響，糖的甜味和山楂的酸味混搭在一起，讓人吃了一個還想再吃一個。春節的味道就在舌尖上擴散開來。
看春節晚會和走親戚是大家春節期間的傳統活動。吃過除夕團圓飯，一家人坐在電視機前看春節聯歡晚會，熱鬧的歌舞、幽默的相聲、高超的雜技、神秘的魔術讓大家看得津津有味，笑聲不斷。正月里家家戶戶走親訪友，人人臉上洋溢著開心的笑容，見面都相互說著祝福吉祥的話兒。孩子們則對大人們伸出手，嘴里大聲說：“恭喜發財，紅包拿來！”然后一邊清點著“戰利品”，一邊心里盤算著這筆錢是用來交學費呢還是買文具，玩具呢？春節的味道就在這歡聲笑語中彌漫開來。

Chinese are very generous while educating children. Cooking will improve many skills children need later in life. Though demanding patience and time, it is an enjoyable experience. A good cook always tries to improve his cooking, so he works hard and gradually finishes his job successfully. His result, a well-cooked dinner, will give him much satisfaction and a lot of self-confidence.
Some old machines, such as a broken radio or TV set your child plays with will make him curious and arouse his interest. He may spend hours looking at them, trying to fix them. These activities are not merely teaching a child to read a book, but rather to think, to use his mind. And that is more important.
