某一天晚上，我終于收到了英語競賽的準考證，我忍不住大叫：“終于要競賽了。”因為這個競賽，讓我和媽媽早在幾個星期前日以繼夜的練習，現在終于可以大展身手了，所以我抱著無論如何都要通過這次競賽的決心全力以赴。
比賽當天，我以無比緊張的心情來到考場報到，現場每個考生都顯得信心滿滿的，當然我也不例外。第一場是口試，我的對手竟然是個美國人，雖然我有準備而且有復習，但仍然無法和對手及主考官侃侃而談，頓時讓我感到書到用時方恨少。
接下來考的是閱讀及寫作，題目多到讓我眼花了亂，尤其是語法題，那是我最弱的項目，我足足花了二十分鐘才寫完題目呢！競賽進行到一半，居然有考生打了起來，真是令人難以置信，考場上竟然會上演爭吵的劇情，簡直就像個賣場一樣鬧哄哄的。雖然吵鬧聲一時讓我覺得心煩氣躁，但不一會兒回過神來，我還是努力地靜下心來趕緊在時間內完成題目。
最后考的是聽力測驗，我專心致志的聽著音檔，當下雖然老師對正在爭吵的同學顯得束手無策，但我不斷的告訴自己不管任何情況都不能分心，集中精神，一定可以輕而易舉地作完題目，最后，我終于完成了這個挑戰，雖然競賽成果還未公布，但這是我前所未有的體驗，真是緊張、害怕、驚險、又恐怖的一天。
