Summer is the second season of the year. When summer comes, it is getting hot and sunny. The days are getting longer and the nights are getting shorter, for the sun gets up early and goes to bed late.
The world has become a green world, green leaves on the trees, green grass by the river, green plants in the fields, and we can see beautiful flowers everywhere. Birds sing from morning till night.
It's so hot that all of the children go swimming in rivers or lakes, and the old people sit under big trees to enjoy the cool air, but the farmers are still busy working in the fields.

It's almost the end of April. Summer has come to us in my city. In south, summer always comes earlier than north. It has been hot for about half a month. The highest temperature reached 37 degree. Now, there are much less people in the street. People are not likely to go out during the summer. It's so hot outside. Swimming is the most favorite activity in my city. The pools are always full filled with people. Parents often take their children to swimming pool at night. Personally, I do not like summer, because it's too hot and the sunshine is strong. I sweat a lot and that makes me very uncomfortable. Therefore, summer is tough time for me and I always expect winter to come.

Nowadays，when it comes to summer, we can’t ignore the fact that the temperature grows higher and higher. Frankly speaking, air-condition has become a must in our daily life owing to the hot summer.

在我看來，夏日的時光已經成為一段讓人們感覺不舒服的時間了。夏天再也不像以前那么舒適了。而且，許許多多可愛的小動物也已經在悄然消失了。就拿螢火蟲來說，螢火蟲在夜晚有很吸引人的光芒，能夠帶給孩子們很多快樂。最近這些年，我們幾乎看不到它了。夏日的主題已經從歡樂轉變成煎熬了。與此同時，我們也失去了太多的快樂和寧靜。
Why does the summer get so terrible? With the development of society, we should have a higher life standard, but actually there are environment problems which influence people’s life. The high temperature is the best instance to explain the existed environment issues. On the one hand, many factories have produced much pollution which can make temperature become higher. On the other hand, a lot of people don’t really realize the importance of protecting the environment. They have not enough awareness to understand that protecting environment is to save themselves.
為什么夏天會變得如此糟糕呢?隨著社會的發展，我們應該是會有一個更好的生活水平，但是，這里實際上確實存在著許多能夠影響人們生活的環境問題。高溫就是一個最好的例子去說明存在的環境問題。一方面，很多工廠產生了污染，而這些污染會促使溫度升高。另一方面，許多人并沒有真正意識到保護環境的重要性。他們不能夠充分明白保護環境其實就是拯救他們自己這個事實。
We need such a summer: happy insect language, clear river, comfortable temperature, fresh air.
