在我們這里，臘八粥熬好后，先要敬神祭祖，再贈送親友，一定要在中午之前送出去，最后才是全家人食用。吃剩的臘八粥，保存著吃了幾天還有剩下，卻是好兆頭，取其“年年有余”的意思。
