　　Last month I went to Beijing to visit one of my friends, because we haven’t seen each other for about two years and I got a holiday meanwhile. It is my first time to visit Beijing, which is always the dream city for all the Chinese. All the information about the city came from the books and TV, now I could see and get know of it by myself, how excited I am!

　　There were so many tourist areas in my plan list, like Tian’anmen Square, Forbidden City, the Great Wall, the Perking University and so on. However, due to my short holiday I only visit several places of my list, with my friend’s companion. I will take a long tour to Beijing next time if I have the chance.

　　A few days ago, my dad took me and my mom to sign up for a tour group to Beijing, the capital of our country.

　　After arriving there, the first thing we did every day was to watch the flag raising. At 3 oclock every day, the flag bearer got up early, changed into neat clothes, and walked steadily towards the flag. The flag bearer held a gun and surrounded the flag bearer. When they reached the flag, the flag bearer stopped first and stood solemnly on the side. The flag bearer slowly walked towards the flag raising platform, looking at the slowly rising national flag with reverence. We all stopped talking, as if each copper figure was infected by the solemn and sacred scene. I couldnt help but raise my hand and salute the rising national flag. 　　Today, my parents and I set foot on the heart of our motherland - the land of Beijing, which is the place I have long longed for.

　　On the first day, we walked into the place where the emperor worshipped - the Temple of Heaven. In front of the Echo Wall, the crowd flowed like a stream, with the Temple of Heaven, golden dragon pillars, and magnificent buildings, exuding an ancient and fragrant aroma. Friends from all over the world, taking advantage of the east wind of the Olympics, also come here for sightseeing and sightseeing.

Just now, the square was bustling with activity. When the Five Star Red Flag was escorted out of the Tianan Gate by the uncle of the Peoples Liberation Army, the square fell silent. Pedestrians on the road stopped to observe, and vehicles voluntarily stopped. At the flagpole, the five-star red flag unfolded with a brush in the flag bearers hand, slowly rising to the solemn national anthem. 　　Today, I took a bus and went on a three-day trip to Beijing with my uncle and aunt.

　　After arriving at our destination, we arrived at the first stop of our trip - the Summer Palace in Beijing. Entering the Summer Palace, we first followed the tour guide to Kunming Lake. The water in the lake was clear to the bottom, and there were small fish swimming around. They would bubble and swim to the surface of the water, looking at us curiously as if asking, "Where are you from?" The boats on the lake were full of people, floating here and then there.

　　Next, we arrived at the backyard, which was a place that ancient emperors often visited! In no time, we arrived at the famous long corridor of the Summer Palace, which has over 200 rooms. The long corridor is so long that you cant see the end at a glance. It is 700 meters long, and each rooms beam is painted with colorful paintings, including figures, flowers, and plants. No two paintings are the same. There are many flowers, plants, and trees planted on both sides of the long corridor, as well as rows of railings where many tourists sit and rest. Tired of walking, I also sat on the railing, swaying my legs comfortably.

　　After leaving the Summer Palace, we went to the Great Wall, where it was a sea of people. The top of the Great Wall is covered with square bricks, which are very flat, like a wide road. If there were few people, I would really want to run back and forth on it. Unfortunately, there were people crowded up there, so I had to follow the crowd step by step and move forward. There are rows of battlements over two meters high on the outer side of the city wall, and every few hundred meters there is a city platform on the city wall, which is used to complement each other during battles and looks very spectacular.

　　Coming down from the Great Wall, I went to the Prince Gongs Mansion and Shichahai again. The scenery there is so beautiful!
