　　08年7月18日19時，仲夏夢之夜——東方之子中英文朗誦會在北校區一樓大廳正式開始。學校二十多位教職工均參加了此次活動，其中六位資深教師眾望所歸擔任評委;十三名參賽者的朗誦聲情并茂，各具特色;校長的穿插主持和總結陳詞幽默而精彩；舒緩的背景音樂更為此夜營造了夢的氛圍，朗誦會在老師們的陣陣熱烈的掌聲中結束。此次活動旨在促進教師之間的交流，豐富教師的課外生活，創建獨特的校園文化。同時，參賽者標準的英語口語更展示了東方之子外國語學校教師的業務水平，也對他們在交流對比中發現不足，不斷提高自己的口語水平有促進作用。

　　朗誦會形式多樣，內容豐富，十三名朗誦者既有中文版式又有英語形式，內容涉及社會、生活的多個方面。英文版中唯一的男選手常宏以《TopStar-YaoMing》開始了仲夏夢之夜，演講中常老師介紹了作為nationalhero的姚明的出色的技術以及同樣優秀的人格。劉慧老師的《Topic》雖然簡潔，卻從容自然，以清新之感引人注目。復雜的生活往往讓人很難從中尋找到平衡，而邵曉超老師的《Life’sBalance》卻用四句Don’t告訴大家如何在工作、家庭、朋友、健康、精神這五項生活中不可或缺的要素之間找到平衡。從生活中走出，大家又隨劉璐老師一起走進泰戈爾的《TheMostDistantWayInTheWorld》去品味經典。參賽者中年齡最小的苗琦惠以《Mum,PleaseDon’tCry》將真摯的感情在抑揚頓挫的聲情中表現的淋漓盡致，一聲聲的“Mum,PleaseDon’tCry”讓大家的心隨著她感情的變化起伏著、震動著……最后，李校長的朗誦更為別開生面，雨天誦《雨巷》，在緩緩的音樂中將全場的情調浸上了一層浪漫，中文版的形式更是萬綠叢中一點紅，成為全場的亮點。

　　賽后，李校長就此次活動進行了總結，希望借此次活動增進教職工之間的交流，大家能夠更加團結一致，齊心協力，為把東方之子外國語學校的事業做大做強，把學校辦成淄博市最好的學校這一共同的夢想并肩奮斗。

　　我們已經是五年級的小學生了，生活上都是大人在幫助我們，我們是不是也可以幫助到別人呢?這樣的一次機會以終于來了。

　　那是一次我坐公共汽車回家的.路上發生的事。公共汽車來了，車還沒停穩，一伙人就挨挨擠擠的爭著上車。我不想這樣，我就在一旁等，大家都上去了，我才上車。我一上車，還好，有座位。我剛想坐下來的時候，后面上來一個老奶奶，她環顧了四周，我也隨著她的目光向四周掃視了一遍，原來已經沒座位了。我決定給她讓個座。于是我對老奶奶說：“奶奶，來，坐這兒吧”。說完我站起，走到了一旁。老奶奶說：“孩子啊，還是你坐吧。”我連忙說：“還是您坐吧，我站著就可以了!”，就這樣老奶奶坐到了我的座位上。當時我覺得很是快樂，一顆心也終于放下，因為我當時心里還壞壞的想過難道我想做一次好事的愿望都實現不了嗎?這時突然聽見后面一個小女孩的媽媽好象在對她的孩子說：“你看人家大哥哥多懂事，要向哥哥學習啊!”我聽了，仿佛自己真的長大了，我能給予別人幫助了，心里別提有多開心。
